Using these alternative design practices may seem like subtle changes but the perks that come with them will truly refine your home for the better. These products will have long-lasting health benefits for you and your family while providing a fresh and laundered design.
Here are a few things to know:
- Sustainable design is furniture or home decor that has been designed and manufactured with consideration for the environment. That means using recycled materials or those that can be easily renewed.
- What is VOC? VOC stands for volatime organic compund. These fumes are carbon-based chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperature and pose great health benefits if ingested over time. Zero-VOC paint has low VOC emissions. It's ordorless, durable, washable, and fade-resistant finish that will look freshly painted year after year.
- Enviormentally sound enviorments allow for great sustainable products. Refurbished and recylced materials are an investment. They last longer and because it helps prevent the growth of landfills and encourages forest growth, also helps keep the air and water clean, preventing future problems caused by pollution.
- Organic wool pillows are a key to better sleep. Organic wool pillows are naturally hypoallergenic and has a lower moisture level in the pillow which safegaurds you against the growth of mold and mildew. Also, organic wool pillows do not emit toxic emissions but create a chemical-free sleeping environment.
