Pintrest does it again! Yesterday this image showed up in my photo stream right when I was sketching ideas for a gallery wall in my parents home. I too wanted to incorporate oval frames (which are hard to find by-the-way) into the collage to give it more visual interest. The space looks collected which is what I am trying to achieve in my 72 year-old parent's home.
To give you some idea of what I'm dealing with, I am one of seven children. My mother has 10 grand kids. My father is one of 14 and everyone comes by our house. So every one needs to be represented. We just celebrated our 45th annual family reunion and the memories/photographs don't stop there. I'm turning my parent's home into the ultimate Grandparent's home. It will house all of our (the 7 children's) considerable memorabilia. Think cheerleaders, homecoming queens, along with all of our degrees and professional achievements. Everything needs to be organized, archived and the space updated.
My parent still own my grandparent's home - well it's in an estate, so theirs will probably go into one also. The good news is that it will be around for my children and hopefully their children to enjoy. So you can imagine that my task is a big one. But if you know anything about me, you know this is right up my alley. After all, I'm a organizing and scrap booking queen.
