Tom Ford fall rollout: We're anticipating 'Something Wild'

With Autumn around the corner, you can imagine our enthusiasm when we heard Tom Ford was adding 16 new swatches to his lipstick collection. Like the leaves change colors of auburn and brass, we trade our peachy lip for dark yet daring wine.

The fall collection is the luxury brand's play on modern monochromic, adding dimmension and depth to any fall ensemble. So, naturally, we've decided to highlight some of our favorites. Ravishing plums and a shimmery bronze are among the bunch to carry you into holiday season.

Check out our top picks below:

Bruised Plum. For that beautiful and deep purple, Tom Ford captured our hearts with this forbidden fruit. Some say the "the darker the berry" and we agree. Picking up this bad boy is going to be so sweet.

Something Wild. Just because the season for fun and intoxicating nights is nearing a close doesn't mean we can't save a little something wild.

Showgirl. A girl can never have too many pouty pink lipsticks and we've decided this one is worth adding to our roster.

There's Something to Be Said About the Carol's Daughter #BornandMade Campaign

In addition to the ongoing natural haircare movement among African American women nationwide, there are several campaigns geared toward multicultural women loving the skin they are in. One that has been high on our radar is the #BornandMade Campaign launched by Carol's Daughter as an initiative to encourage us to celebrate our beauty, know our self worth and empower one another.

The multicultural beauty brand has come along way from a tiny kitchen in Brooklyn, New York and evolved into a household name. Founder Lisa Price's new campaign is meant to honor her humble beginnings, and inspire all of us to do the same. "Where we're born, what we were made with — whether those are good or bad things — all play into the people that we ultimately become," Price told PopSugar in an interview about the campaign.

Christian Louboutin's New Lipstick Line Inspired by Queen Nefertiti

Fall fashion wouldn't be complete without some Christian Louboutin stamp in sight. First it was the red bottoms, then ravishing red lacquer introduced to us by Louboutin's first nail polish collection. And now we can look forward to the red lip.

Inspired by Queen Nefertiti of Egypt, known for her elegant beauty and stunning features, it seems Mr. Louboutin has done his research. “After the eyes, lips represent the most expressive element of the face. And there’s a fetish appeal, because lipstick can transform a face from intense to naive or even dangerous,” said Louboutin in a press release. “With its slow, circular application, lip makeup becomes a rich and sensual gesture.”

Judging by what we've seen, the beauty balms will be nothing short of rich and seductive. Available in three finishes and 38 shades, the lip lacquers feature brilliant blushes and bold reds. Encased in vials as adorned as the heels come high, the gold tubes are topped with bejeweled crowns and accented with dazzling studs. The lipsticks will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue in September at a retail price of $90 each.
